8 TERM DATES & HOLIDAYS Autumn Term First week in Sept until the third week in December Spring Term First week of January until Easter Summer Term One/two weeks after Easter until the third week in July There are 13 weeks holiday a year – bring it on! 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 6 weeks in the Summer There is also 1 week break in the middle of each term

9 REQUIREMENTS TO WORK IN THE UK Tier 5 – Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) You need to accrue 50 points: 30 points for your home country (Australia) 10 points being between 18-30 10 for having £1600 in the bank Rules of the YMS You can stay in the UK for up to 24 months You can work for the full 24 months You have to leave once the visa expires or if you wish to apply for another type of visa £125 approx Ancestry Visa Allows citizens from Commonwealth countries to work & settle in the UK if they have British-born grandparents Free to enter the UK & work without restrictions British Passport EU Passport
