 Plasma technology is based on a simple physical principle.  Matter changes its state when energy is supplied to it: solids becomes liquid, and liquids becomes gaseous.  If even more energy is supplied to a gas, it is ionized and goes into the energy-rich plasma state, the fourth state of matter. What is PLAZMA?

Technology  LED HDTVs (properly known as LED-backlit LCD TVs) use light emitting diodes (LEDs) as a backlight for the LCD. Some of this light is blocked by vertical or horizontal liquid crystals, creating an image. These should not be confused with actual LED or OLED TVs. LCDLED or OLED TVs  Plasma HDTVs create images using phosphors, tiny plasma containers placed between two sheets of glass. These emit ultraviolet light at colored spots of phosphor on the screen, which then glow to create the picture. LED TV vs. PLAZMA TV

Picture Quality  Plasma TVs tend to have deeper blacks, and stabler color over the screen's breadth from a variety of angles, leading to smoother, more natural images than seen on LED-lit LCD screens.  Plasma screens also show crisp, fast motion without blur or ghosting. 11 Size  LED-lit LCD screens are the slimmest type of TV available. The screen size can range from a couple of inches to 90 inches.  Plasma screens normally range from 42 inches to approximately 65 inches. Panasonic also offer some larger models, including a 152 inch TV. Plasma screens also weigh more than LED-lit LCD screens. LED TV vs. PLAZMA TV conti…

Energy Efficiency  Plasma TVs are less energy efficient than LED-lit LCD TVs. According to Which magazine, a 42 inch screen LED-lit LCD TV will use an average of 64 watts, while an average 42 inch Plasma TV uses 195 watts.energyefficient Sound Quality  As they are thinner (and so have smaller speakers), LED TVs tend to have poorer sound quality. 13 Reliability  HDTVs are generally highly reliable. LED-lit LCD TVs are considered to have a lifespan of 100,000 hours, although they have not been in use long enough to have extensive information on their long-term reliability. information  According to PC World, users of Panasonic’s plasma TVs rate them highly reliable, with very few serious problems. In 2010, just 1 in 20 Panasonic users reported a major problem with their TVs. Older plasma TVs have a lifespan of 20,000 hours, although some newer TVs have up to 60,000 hours.PC LED TV vs. PLAZMA TV conti…

Popularity  LCD screen TVs are the most popular, followed by LED-backlit screens (which are also LCD screens, by the way).  Plasma screens are less popular and more commonly available in larger sizes. Prices  LED-lit LCD TVs are typically more expensive than Plasma TVs. For example, on Amazon.com a Panasonic LED-lit LCD 42 inch TV was listed for $900 while a Panasonic Plasma 42 inch TV costs $600.on Amazon.com LED TV vs. PLAZMA TV conti…

 What is the OLED technology all about?  OLED panels are made from organic (carbon based) materials that emit light when electricity is applied through them. Since OLEDs do not require a backlight and filters (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to make, and much thinner.  OLEDs have a great picture quality - brilliant colors, fast response rate and a wide viewing angle. OLEDs can also be used to make OLED lighting - thin, efficient and without any bad metals.OLED lighting OLED

 An OLED TV screen uses a new display technology called OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes).new display technology  OLED televisions are brighter, more efficient, thinner and feature better refresh rates and contrast than either LCD or Plasma.  OLED TVs deliver the best picture quality ever. What is an OLED TV?

OLED TVs

 OLEDs are made by placing thin films of organic (carbon based) materials between two conductors.  When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. The OLED materials emit light and do not require a backlight (unlike LCDs).  Each pixel is a small light-emitting diode, in fact. OLED TV panels offers several advantages over LCDs: A little bit about the technology:

OLED TV STRUCTURE :

 Faster refresh rate, better contrast and better color reproduction  Thin and light: OLED TVs today are just 4 mm thick, and some OLED panel prototypes are merely 0.3 mm thick!  Better viewing angle - almost 180 degrees  Greener: OLEDs draw less power, and contain no toxic metals (that's almost true - OLEDs contain a trace amount of Iridium, a non- toxic heavy metal)  OLED panels can potentially be made flexible and/or transparent About OLED TV

 The only company that currently produces OLED TV panels is LG Display. LG Electronics has several OLED TV models on the market - ranging in size from 55" to 77".  Some of these are flat, and some are curved (and the high-end 77EG9900 is a bendable TV). 77EG9900bendable TV  LG's cheapest OLED TV is currently the 55EC9300, a curved 55" Full-HD TV released in 2014 that is currently shipping for $1,999. 55EC9300currently shipping for $1,999 What's on the market today?
