Monday, January 26 th - Core registration materials delivered electronically to middle schools Friday, February 13 th - 8 th grade course recommendation spreadsheet due back to Kell High School Friday, February 20 th - Middle school students visit Kell Monday, February 23 rd Middle schools receive practice elective registration materials Monday, March 2 nd Rising 9 th Grade Parent Night 6:30 PM March 5 th & 9 th Parent/Guardian Elective Registration Informational Meetings at Kell Thursday, March 6 th Elective registration forms given to middle school Friday, March 16 th Elective registration forms due back to Kell Friday, April 13 th Course Requests Verification sheets handed out

4 X 4 Hybrid Block Schedule Kell High School will move to a modified hybrid block schedule. o YL = Year Long Courses that meet every other day for the entire school year on A day or B Day o Y = Year Courses that meet every day for a semester (Both A and B days) o.5 = Half a semester courses that meet for 45 days of the semester and part of a required pair

If a student and his or her parent /guardian don’t agree with the core placement recommendation of the 8 th grade teacher, a waiver form must be submitted to Kell High School counseling. Waiver forms can be obtained in the Kell High School Counseling Department or on the Kell High School website (www.carltonjkellhighschool.com).www.carltonjkellhighschool.com All waivers must be returned to the Kell High School Counseling Department by Friday, April 24 th.

All students will receive a 9 th grade course elective registration planning booklet to be used with their core recommendation placement on February 23 rd.

The NCR (triplicate forms) for official registration will be handed out by 8 th grade teachers on Monday, March 9 th. Students will have until Monday, March 16 th to return them to homeroom.
