Key Terms Migration- is a common activity that involves the movement of individuals from one place to another Immigration- a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country. Push factors- reasons that force or “push” a person to leave their country. Pull Factors- reasons that draw or “pull” a person to a new country.

How do the various laws make you feel about what has occurred in the United States immigration history? Research an actual historic event that has “pushed” people to immigrate to another country. (wars, famine,) Explain the event in full detail.
