3. My intentions I chose to go through the coop program because I was undecided on whether I should be a social worker or a nurse. I was not allowed to go around with a social worker because it is to confidential between each patient they have so I went to the DERCH to shadow nurses. My intentions were to make a decision on which career path would be the best for me.

4. Job Description While shadowing with a Registered Nurse I seen them: Give out medication Talk with doctors Computer work Help the LPN when they have all of their work done While shadowing with a licensed practical nurse I seen them: Vitals Help with feedings Blood sugars Sponge baths Bathroom assistants Changing the beds

5. Tasks & Duties Feed patients Change and make beds Reposition patients Help patients to the bathroom Run and get things for RN’s and LPN’s Check up on patients

6. Final Decision In the end I was hoping to have made my decision between a nurse and social worker but I am still puzzled. Next year I plan on going to St. Thomas University this way I am on the right path if I decide to go with social work. If I decide to go with nursing then I can transfer my credits over to UNB. Either way I will hopefully be on the right path for my future.
