5. Already Some Bad Press!! Olympic champion Sally Pearson has hit out at Gold Coast City Council for the letting a running track where she trains fall into disrepair. "I just want it to get redone because it's been there since 1998 and it's starting to fall apart" GOLD Coast public swimming pools were closed amid fears swimmers could receive electric shocks. Unexplained electrical currents were discovered during routine testing and the council immediately moved to close the seven pools.

8. To ensure Sustainability... Something had to change “If we keep doing what we’ve always done....we’ll keep getting what we’ve always gotten!” Or even worse....a reduced budget!

9. The key was: Being able to substantiate Asset Management funding requirements So what could we do differently? Had to get the knowledge out of the Asset Managers heads and Use it to substantiate funding requirements
