8 Event Roadmap Approximately 56 hours to get your entry completed Friday: Register teams and get started on your ideas: - Problem - Audience - Communication Method - Data Saturday: Finalise the Story - Start on short video - Complete your project storyboard - Build the ‘hack’ app Sunday: Finalise the Hack App Finalise the Video and story to describe the hack app Submit by 5pm

9 Start with the following: Make a team and register it http://locate-geohack- 3456.devpost.com/ (you submit here as well)http://locate-geohack- 3456.devpost.com/ Identify data sets you will use and any open source libraries (check IP and usage restrictions) Choose an Innovate@locate prize categorie – Check if these prize categories have data requirements Start creating

10 Submitting your entry A descriptive project page, Team members, details about your project, what data sets have been used and what competition categories that you are going for. One member must be over 18 or a guardian must be registered to facilitate prizes IP Ideally open source code is preferred but if prior IP used please state on submission Video Demonstrating your hack in action for the judging panel!

11 Judging Criteria Specific prize eligibility criteria detailed (if any) e.g. data use, team criteria The relevance to the team nominated category definition Best problem solving result includes the extent to which the application could impact the user’s productivity. Innovation -Structure and design (including standards compliance) Usability (including documentation and ease of use)

12 Awards Prizes will be announced at the VIP Awards at the Locate 2016 Conference on the 11th April.
