Voltage Control ●The voltage control is achieved using a buck converter circuit. ●The buck converter circuit has an efficiency of 95% and above compared to a linear regulator ●The voltage is stepped down from 24V to 5V at a specified current ●The voltage is stepped down from 24V to 12V at a specified current for the relay channel
19
Universal battery eliminator circuit (UBEC) ●DC/DC step down converter from 6V - 24V to 5V, 3A ●It controls the voltage going to the microcontroller (Beaglebone) ●Unlike other voltage regulators, it does not require any heat sink.
20
Analog Control Buck Converter DC-DC Step-down Voltage Regulator Module ●DC - DC step down voltage regulator from 4 - 40V to 1.25 - 37V, 2A ●Used for the pressure regulation voltage control ●The voltmeter screen provides means of monitoring the voltage output/input

DC/STEPPER MOTOR DRIVER BREAKOUT BOARD ◈ Powered from 12 V of battery ◈ Allows motor to be run with 12 V at.35 mA but still be controlled by the microcontroller
24
DC/DC 2 CHANNEL RELAY MODULE ◈ Connects solenoid valve to battery ◈ Controlled via our microcontroller ◈ Allows voltage from microcontroller to dictate when the 12 V from the battery flows to the valve
25
Solenoid Valve Change New Valve: ◈ Doesn’t require a minimum pressure Old Valve: ◈ Required minimum 3 psi through the valve to work Plastic Water Solenoid Valve - 12V - 1/2" Nominal 3/4 inch 12V DC VDC Plastic Nylon Electric Solenoid Valve NPT
26
Controls System ◈ Beaglebone Black microcontroller has been purchased ◈ Will be coding using Arduino IDE ◈ Latest Beaglebone debian image include userspace arduino libraries ◈ Simply create file with “.ino” extension and add to autorun folder to boot program at startup ◈ Ready to begin programming
