2 © 2009 IBM Corporation GSD Value Proposition for Business Partners “The Global Solutions Directory (GSD) is IBM's registry of business partner solutions and represents a critical step in developing a partnership with IBM. By creating an entry for your solution in the GSD, you can tap into many opportunities to create exposure with IBM sales and marketing teams as well as IBM customers and Business Partners. Through your GSD entry you can communicate: –The value of your solution to customers; –The benefits of your application to the IBM sales network; –Your level of technological commitment to IBM: to customers, the IBM sales network, and IBM business development teams.”

5 © 2009 IBM Corporation5 Search: www.ibm.com/partnerworld/gsd/search.do  Use keywords and one or more filters to narrow down results  A check mark indicates IBM has verified the solution either as a customer installation or a technical validation (such as Ready for)  The next two pages illustrate the solution information layout using “Social Portal” as the example clicked. There are over 8,000 published solutions in the GSD. Solutions must be updated at least every 2 years to remain on the GSD.

All Partners can log in to the GSD once they’ve join PartnerWorld Employees of the Partner log in using their IBM ID at www.ibm.com/partnerworld/gsd/logon.dowww.ibm.com/partnerworld/gsd/logon.do The process of adding a new solution may be viewed in this demo: http://youtu.be/aa--GT3uhnMhttp://youtu.be/aa--GT3uhnM The solution can be saved as a draft or submitted for approval (1) The approval team will review the content of the submitted solution, all links, videos and collateral. They do not verify the technical platform of the solution. If issues are found, an email will go to the Partner requesting revision Upon approval, the Partner will be notified via email and the solution will be published to the web. Once published to the web, other IBM sites using GSD data will have access to it Additional tutorials are available for Partner functions within the GSD at: www.ibm.com/partnerworld/wps/servlet/ContentHandler/isv_com_sol_gsd_demos (1) After submitting the solution, the Partner may submit it for nomination to a technical validation or request verification of a customer reference. However, the nomination will not be approved until after the solution has been approved for publication.
