Bureaucracy = Large, complex structures that handles the everyday business of an organization Ex. McDonald’s, Roman Catholic Church, universities, Rochester Community Schools Why? Without the people who make bureaucracy happen, laws would just be words and nothing would get done.

Executive Departments Each executive department is headed by a secretary (ex. Secretary of Defense) Except the Dept. of Justice headed by the Attorney General These secretaries: 1.Head their executive department 2.Form the President’s Cabinet
