General announcements ■All Updates and announcements are on the website so be sure to check it often to see what new volunteer opportunities there are. ■To check your points on the website you need the password, integrity, all lower case. ■Earning points is straightforward: 1 point: 1 Hour of community service ■Activities are constantly announced on the website, the NHS board in guidance, and in our informal Facebook group (message officers so we can add you).

Juniors ■No Juniors are currently on probation ■15 Points are due by May 15 th, failure to attain to these points by then will result in probation ■Get started on your pts now!!! ■Those interested in running for officer positions will need 8-10 points by the end of first semester (Jan 15 th ) to be considered. More on this will be announced throughout the year, after the induction of sophomores in the spring.

Seniors ■Seniors: Will need 10 points before the end of first semester or January 15 th. Those failing to meet this criteria will be evicted from NHS. ■Those who are on probation from last year (did not earn their required 15 points by May 15 th ) must make up the points they didn’t earn in addition to 5 points towards this year’s overall ten point requirement and turn in their hours forms by the end of this week! ■NHS scholarship information should be up by January and we encourage those interested in this to maintain active and engaged participation within the society.

S4S!!! ■Scholars for Scholars!!! Contact Olivia/Lexi (Have the *teacher* of the student you are tutoring sign off on your hours form) ■Great thing to put on your resume! ■Tutoring experience is a great thing to have!

Point opportunities ■Mr/Mrs. Pv (max of 8 pts) ■PV Fair booth volunteering (max of 5 pts) ■Ta’ing (lab setup/cleanup for Dr. Ors?/Dr. Skipper, grading tests/hwk, running errands for teachers, etc) **Bond with teachers//Letters of rec** ■Peace jam/interact Key club/most on campus club/class activities (bake sales, etc) ■Local non-profit volunteering (can’t be used for both NHS hours and bright futures volunteering hours) ■PV Stands up to cancer - Girls Love mail/Contact Eryn Lin
