Membership in APPA and the regions is institutional. This means that you pay one fee for all staff at your institution to utilize member benefits in APPA and your designated region. Membership fees are based on your IPEDS data and applied to APPA’s dues matrix.

APPA has 6 regions that span North America. Membership is institutional and each region offers professional development opportunities on a local/ regional level throughout the year. Dues rates are based on a percentage of your institution’s APPA dues.

What is your return on investment (ROI)? Enhance your staff’s skills by participating in professional development events at the local, regional and national level. Utilize APPA’s wide array of publications and online resources at a significantly reduced cost. Benefit from connecting with colleagues across the country regarding current facilities topics through our listserv and social media. Subscriptions to APPA’s Facilities Manager and Inside APPA newsletter which will keep you and your staff up-to-date on current topics. Volunteer opportunities at the regional and national level.

Research, Benchmarking and Performance Indicators offered as member benefits: Facilitates Performance Indicator is the only report readily available on the costs and practices of facilities operations at educational institutions. It includes data from over 300 institutions allowing extensive comparisons of average costs for different types of space and institutions. Facilities Management Evaluation Program provides institutions with a customized evaluation conducted by a team of institutional peers and based on a comprehensive set of criteria. Center for Facilities Research works to advance the body of knowledge of facilities management through research, discovery, and innovation. Standards and Codes Council communicates and educates APPA member institutions on standards compliance.
