Acrostic An acrostic is a poem in which the first letters of the lines spell a word, often the subject of the poem.

Cinquain A cinquain is a five-line poem with this syllable pattern: 2, 4, 6, 8, 2.

Limerick A limerick is a five-line poem with this rhyme scheme: aabba. Lines 1, 2, and 5 have three beats. Lines 3 and 4 have two beats.
