4 CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE’S OPERATING PROGRAM  Completely financed by the General Office of Confucius Institutes in Peking (Hanban) ;  Resorting to the establishment of the social relationship between Hanban and a local institution ;  Operate with the financing of local institutions licensed by Hanban.

5 ICUGR is a non-profit institution, created through collaboration between the University of Granada and the University of Peking at the behest of the National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Hanban), whose main objective is to promote the study of language and Chinese culture and develop in our city and all over the scope of activity of the University, those activities that serve this purpose, through language courses at different levels, organizing film screenings, seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. Confucius Institute of Granada University (ICUGR)

6 The Chinese Language and Culture Courses are focused to the University Community and all human and professionals groups, and they are structured according to their duration (standard and intensive) and typology (General, Business and Conversation). 21  Cultural Workshops The diffusion of Chinese culture is one of the main objectives of ICUGR. 22 III. Contests and prizes The ICUGR organizes contests and awards on their own or in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Spain. We encourage you to actively participate in our activities and experiences that will enrich your vision of the study and learning of Chinese language and culture.

23  China's Literary Translation Award The ICUGR convenes every year on Chinese Literary Translation Award in order to encourage the translation of Chinese poetry and literature in our country. For the fourth consecutive year, the Confucius Institute organizes academic initiative getting progressively more reception among college students and professionals dedicated to the Chinese language in our country.

24  Contest "Bridge to China" - Greater student participation each year; - Contestants have increasingly higher level of Chinese. - Interest in learning Chinese is growing up; - More people are interested in Chinese culture.

25  Confucius Institute Scholarship The ICUGR is an official authorized centre where applicants can register and process the Confucius Institute scholarships. In the last three years, the ICUGR has sent over 30 of its students to study in Chinese Universities. Actually more than 10 students still continue their studies in China. IV. Scholarships
