Sex Drive
3
Do you find it difficult to rekindle romance in bed despite love blossoming within you? You are not alone. Low libido is the reason behind a sluggish sex life in most couples. However, sometimes your daily habits or things you do unknowingly are a reason behind the dwindling stamina in bed. Here are some common habits that are slowly killing your sexual desires.
5
When consumed in lesser amounts, alcohol can increase your libido. But if you cross the line, it triggers certain chemical reactions in the brain that inhibits production of testosterone. Continuous heavy drinking can also affect orgasmic functions and lead to low or no sex drive eventually.
7
Drinks that contain caffeine like coffee, sodas and colas are known to suppress your libido. This is because caffeine is a stimulant that can aggravate underlying anxiety, lead to hormonal imbalance and kill your desire for sex. So remember, a cup of coffee, before hitting bed for a romantic night isn't a good idea.

Studies have indicated that excessive sugar intake can impact testosterone production in men and hamper their semen quality. However, too much sugar in the diet can also lead to a sugar crash and make a dent in the energy level while on the act, making it difficult to maintain stamina for sex.
11
Exercise helps to bring a balance in hormonal activities and increase libido, however too much exercise can do just the opposite, leading to fatigue. However, a study published in The Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy says yoga (not rigorous strength training) has a calming effect on the body and helps increase libido by improving blood circulation to the genital areas.
13
Getting less than five hours of sleep in a day hampers libido drastically for both men and women. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), found that the levels of sex hormone are reduced in middle-aged sleep- deprived men and women drastically to what would be for a 15 year old of the same gender.
15
Some studies have indicated that people who take antidepressants have lower libido due to less production of testosterone. However, not all antidepressants would interfere with your sex life. If taking the pills leads to mood swings and lower sex drive, talk to your doctor to check on your levels of intake.
17
How stress lowers ones sexual desire is not known completely. However, a study published in 2010 in the Journal of Sexual Medicine said that premenopausal women found it difficult to reach an orgasm due to increased levels of stress that induced a feeling of general fatigue.
19
If you are taking medications for hair loss, beware - it can kill your sex drive! A study funded by Boston University Medical Centre’s Department of Urology found that certain drugs used to treat male pattern baldness had adverse affect on sexual health and also impacted the overall health of the person.
21
Having plate full of foods that is high on saturated fats like processed foods, red meat and sausages would not only clog arteries but prevent blood flow to genital areas and lower sexual desire. On the other hand, having too less calories will rob all the energy needed to keep you going during the act.
23
Iron in your diet can help you rev-up your sex life and spice things up in bed. This is one of the reasons why anemic women suffer from low libido. Iron helps in production of red blood cells that boost blood circulation in the genital areas, increasing libido.
25
Watching too much porn can excite you and lead to masturbation, but the flip-side is, it leads to overstimulation of dopamine, a neurotransmitter, that triggers sexual activities. Continuous dopamine production makes it difficult for the brain to respond to sexual triggers. So limit watching porn and indulge in real-life sex more.
