5. STEP 2 When the electrons move they create electricity and flow to the battery and charge controller. The battery is where the electricity is stored for later use. Excessive sunlight can damage the batteries because the voltage is too high. The charger controller is used to maintain the proper charging voltage on the batteries to prevent damage.

7. STEP 3 Last step involves the Solar Inverter The inverter is the heart of the solar power system. The inverter converts the low voltage stored in the batteries to the 120 Volts needed to power and run most appliances.
