VR Systems Confidential/Proprietary Trade Secret Interface Prep Work Create a Test Database 5 Sandbox and Redistricting databases are a copy of the Voter Focus database that can be used at anytime. The databases are not connected to FVRS, so they can be used regardless of whether FVRS is running and can be generated whenever needed. They are created by copying a recent full backup of the production (Vr6) database. Sandbox DatabaseRedistricting Database Used for training or testing.Used after congressional redistricting to update street segments, precincts, and district data. Used to perform testing on the new setup. How to create: Voter Focus Admin>System Utilities>Database Utilities tab> Create Sandbox Database button How to create: Streets & Precincts>Redistricting>Copy DB to Redistricting tab> Create Redistricting Database button

If you do not see this option, contact VR Systems. Redistricting will not move a voter across a Zip Code Boundary This options is designed primarily for counties with multiple cities where the same zip code or street name is used by two or more mailing (USPS) cities. We recommend this option be turned on. District Type used for Cities And District Types used for Wards Must match the code used by GeoElections Systems. e.g. CTY and WRD

15
VR Systems Confidential/Proprietary Trade Secret 15 Codes to Check on Both Systems Precincts All precincts used by GeoElections must exist in Voter Focus prior to import. Precinct splits are created by GeoElections and are not required to be set up in Voter Focus prior to import. Any precinct splits on Voter Focus that are not defined in GeoElections will be deleted by the import process. If a precinct is deleted or consolidated in GeoElections, the import process does not remove the precinct from the voter registration database. The deleted precinct will no longer have voters, so you can manually delete the precinct in Voter Focus.
