IETF 78 RADIUS extensions for DS-Lite draft-maglione-softwire-dslite-radius-ext-00 R. Maglione – Telecom Italia A. Durand – Juniper Networks
2
IETF 78 Background DS-Lite is a solution to offer both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity to customers which are addressed only with an IPv6 prefix In order to establish DS-Lite Tunnel, B4 element needs to know the remote endpoint Address or Name draft-ietf-softwire-ds-lite-tunnel-option already defines DHCPv6 options for DS-Lite Tunnel Address and Name In Broadband networks, the customer profile information may be stored in AAA servers This document specifies two new RADIUS attributes to carry DS-Lite Tunnel Address and DS-Lite Tunnel Name
