2 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases M/V SEA CALL -Incident occurred 11 JAN 2012 -Approx. 1/2 gal. diesel discharged. -San Diego Yacht Club. -Letter of Warning issued.

3 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases S/V HONEY BEAR -Incident occurred 14 JAN 2012 -Source of ~15 gal. diesel discharge. -Sunk due to lack of maintenance. -Notice of Violation issued.

4 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases NASSCO -Incident occurred 23 JAN 2012 -Approx. 10 gal. hydraulic oil discharged at NASSCO facility. -Two hydraulic oil lines burst from a crane due to lack of maintenance. -Notice of Violation issued.

5 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases M/V HONU -Incident occurred on 14 FEB 2012. -Source of 15 gal. discharge of diesel fuel. -Diesel leaked into the bilge from fuel tank. -Notice of Violation was issued.

6 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases Cargo Ship MOLENE – Incident occurred on 17 FEB 2012 – 25 gallon diesel discharge at 10 th Avenue Marine Terminal. – Tank discharge through fuel vent during bunkering operations, causing fuel to accumulate on the deck and drain through a scupper into the water. – $250.00 Notice of Violation was issued.

7 Sector San Diego Incident Management Division Recent Cases Tug TIGER – Sector San Francisco – MST1 Legutki & MST2 Mitchell attended for FOSCR training – Sunken abandoned vessel – OSLTF opened to clean up oil for $3.5 million.

8 Sector San Diego ACP Notification Drill CY 2011 4 th Quarter Delta Beach Drill: 13 DEC 2011 Drill Scenario: -At 0800, a 1000 gallon oil discharge was discovered during a routine HARPAT. Exercise Objectives: -Enable OSRO’s to test ACP booming strategies & deployment coordination -Establish a working relationship with MSRC and NRCES -Test comms w/ MSRC boat, JHOC, and Response truck -Obtain federal project number for use of the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund.

9 Sector San Diego ACP Notification Drill CY 2012 1 st Quarter Sweetwater Channel Drill: 29 FEB 2012 Drill Scenario: -At 0700, NRC report that M/V SUNNY DAY sunk with potential discharge of 3000gal. Exercise Objectives: -Enable OSRO’s to test ACP booming strategies & deployment coordination -Deploy CG trailer to establish ICP -Test comms w/ JHOC, and Response truck
