EHS Guidelines need to be more focused and relevant ◦ Aim for intended audience: contractors ◦ Focus on most important areas ◦ Express as or link to technical specifications Need to be linked to contract ◦ Bank’s SBDs need to be updated and EHS integrated ◦ Ensure EHS forms part of EMP which forms part of contract Need to have EHS compliance costs in BOQ as provisional sum ◦ Otherwise committed contractors disadvantaged Bank staff need to look at EHS during missions
