2 What is the Institute of Brewing and Distilling - Diploma Brewing Certification? Composed of three modules –Raw Material through Brewhouse –Fermentation to finished beer tank –Packaging and Engineering Each area is a practical review that can be used in any size brewery A person who has the Diploma Brewer Certification will have a toolbox that will ensure success in problem solving and brewing the highest quality beers A company that employs a Diploma brewer will be assured that the brewer has the skills needed to excel in that role

What is the Diploma Brewing Certification? (Cont.) Each module can be reviewed with self study or to ensure success and mastery of the subject material, the preparatory course offered by MBAA can be attended. Each section has an exam that provides a tested outcome so the Diploma Brewing Candidate can prove their proficiency. The Diploma exam is the second step in the path to the IBD Master Brewer Certification. –General Certificate in Brewing –Diploma Brewer General Certificate not required –Master Brewer Diploma Brewer Required
