Changing a flat tire by yourself is a good idea because it saves you from spending money and having to waste time waiting for someone to help you out. It gets you back on the road more quickly, and it would be beneficial in a situation where help would not be available, such as on a deserted country road. Changing a flat by yourself might seem to be difficult, but it is an important task to learn in case you ever do experience a flat tire for yourself.
