The Future of Pallet Wrapping

 A universal, re-usable pallet covering.  Stretchable fabric secures the pallet contents.  Designed to eliminate the need for disposable packaging.

 Your customer wants your goods but not your packaging.  You are spending a lot of money supplying your customer with something they don’t want – packaging.  150000 Tonnes of stretch film packaging go to landfill every year at £56/tonne and rising every year.  IT CAN SAVE YOU MONEY after as little as 10 trips.  Bottom of the list for us cynics but you’ll be doing your bit to save the planet as well!!

 You buy, you fit and ship. They hold for collection – THAT’S IT.  They can be custom made and have your logo or standard.

 It’s much tougher.  The polypropylene section is 500 microns (0.5mm) thick and woven. Stretch film ranges from 8 to 20 micron.  A higher stretch film at 20 micron and using 4 wraps it’s still less than 20% of the thickness of Pallet-sock!  The elasticated “Power-net” panels are made from nylon 6 fabric which is an engineering thermoplastic.

 Fit and remove in less than a minute.  Saves money – How? 1. Once bought, no plastic wrap price rises. 2. No wrapping machine depreciation. 3. Saves space of wrap machines and raw material stock holding. 4. Saves labour to man the machine. 5. Less returns through transit damage.  Moves wrapping from a renewable cost item to a capital cost item, improving cash flow.  No machine breakdowns.  Impresses customer by solving packaging problem.  Enhances Green company credentials.  Pays for itself after 10 to 15 journeys - Projected life is a minimum of 50 journeys.

 Warehouse people don’t like change and may fear loss of “income” from re-cycling.  Not tamper proof.

 No machine depreciation or replacement cost.  Packaging moves to capital cost not renewable.  Additional space becomes available in time when machine is written off.  Potential for labour cost reduction.  No stock holding of plastic wrap required together with the space it occupies and the cash it eats.  Less returns through transit damage.

 The primary directive in packaging waste reduction is, if it’s possible, don’t use any – here’s your chance to do just that......................... and save money into the bargain.
