15 TRANSPORTATION Please choose only 1 method of transportation: I live within 2.8km, I will be walking. I will be taking pre-arranged transportation. I am a resident of Kingston and will receive a bus pass from the City of Kingston. I will need city bus tickets. I will be driving - I will require a parking pass.

16 ASSESSMENT @ COLLEGE A grade of 50% or higher must be obtained to pass the course All courses must be passed in order to receive your Level 1 Apprenticeship You are now a college student and you will be evaluated the same There are strict deadlines and you must attend your courses in order to be successful

17 COMPLETING YOUR OYAP LEVEL 1 APPRENTICESHIP two If you pass all your courses, you will receive two high school credits. All your course grades will appear on your SLC transcript. High School CollegeCollege MTCUMTCU A pass or fail designation for each student will be sent to the MTCU office. No marks are submitted.

18 WHAT DO I DO AFTER JUNE 30 TH ? Take a copy of your completed education requirement (e.g. OSSD, Grade 8 or Grade 10) to the local MTCU Apprenticeship Office Secure employment with a contractor (wage is usually 40% of what a licensed skilled worker would earn) Ensure you have your employer sign your Apprenticeship Training Standard on a regular basis If you change employers let the MTCU Apprenticeship office know about the change. Note: Take your Training Standard with you  After you graduate from high school you must direct your questions to your local MTCU Apprenticeship Office (e.g. Level 2 program) What If I Don’t Have a Job? Work with the Employment Ontario Employment Services organization in your community/area.

19 WITHDRAWAL 1.Discuss your decision with your Guidance Counsellor and Dual Credit Teacher 2.If you decide to withdraw, be aware of the drop deadline (found on your dates page) 3.A “W” for withdrawal will appear on your SLC Transcript 4.A “F” for Fail can result if you do not discuss your drop with your Dual Credit Teacher or adhere to the drop deadline 5.Return course materials to the Dual Credit Office
