2 Overview of B.H.E.L. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (B.H.E.L.) is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India. BHEL caters to core sectors of the Indian Economy viz., Power Generation's & Transmission, Industry, Transportation, Telecommunication, Renewable Energy, Defense and many more. BHEL has its setup spread all over India namely New Delhi,Gurgaon,Hardwar, Rudrapur, Jhansi, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Jagdishpur, Tiruchirapalli, Banglore and many more.

3 B.H.E.L., Hardwar Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (B.H.E.L.), Hardwar has two manufacturing plants:- Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant(HEEP) Central Foundry Forge Plant(CFFP)

4 H.E.E.P. Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (HEEP) located in Hardwar is one of the major manufacturing plants of BHEL. The core business of HEEP includes design and manufacturing of large steam and gas turbines, turbo generators, hydro turbines and generators, large AC/DC motors and so on.

5 The various blocks in HEEP are as follows:
Block-1: Turbo generator Shop Block-2: Fabrication Shop Block-3: Turbine Shop Block-4: Insulation Block Block-5: Forging Shop Block-6: Stamping Shop Block-7: Packing and Wood Working Shop Block-8: Condenser and Piping Shop New Blade Shop

11 Constructional Features Of Turbo Generator
The two pole uses hydrogen cooling for rotor winding and direct water cooling stator winding. Turbo generator consists of following parts: STATOR ROTOR BEARINGS SHAFT BEARINGS Other additional auxiliaries: Excitation system Gas system

12 STATOR Stator consists of following parts: Stator frame Stator core
Stator winding Locating bars End shields Terminal bushings Phase connectors Hydrogen cooler End winding vibration Supervision of generator

21 RECTIFIER WHEEL

22 COOLING SYSTEM The exciter is air cooled. The cooling air is circulated in a closed circuit and recooled in two cooling sections arranged along side the exciter. The complete exciter is housed in an enclosure draw the cool air in at both ends and expels the warmed air to the compartment beneath the base plate. The main exciter enclosure receives the cool air from the fan after it passes over the pilot exciter.

23 BRUSHLESS EXCITER

24 PERMANENT MAGNET EXCITER

25 Advantage Of Turbo Generator Over Hydro Generator
High frequency , N=120*f* π/ p From here, f=N*p/120 π Here we see, f is directly proportional to N Less corrosion. high stability.

26 CONCLUSION As steam is used so no site problem.
Turbo Generators are used where high frequency supply is required. As steam is used so no site problem.

27 THANK YOU
