Senderos Naturales does not sell tour packages, our operations are characterized by being exclusive, always focusing on offering personalized attention to our clients. We can put together packages that will include nature, adventure, and cultural interactions with the company of highly qualified guides.

Founded in 2000, Senderos Naturales is a family-owned agency, operated and managed by its owner Macarena Iturralde, who having been a former naturalist guide, knows all the destinations we offer in-depth. She loves to share the beauty of each place, designing tours and taking into account your main interests, including hidden but really beautiful places in Ecuador.

6. Our commitment as a company is to contribute to the sustainable development of our region. This commitment implies giving a high degree of importance to the values of the local people and local traditions, something that is reflected in the use of local guides, locally-owned accommodations and the carrying out of our activities in wild protected areas. We care for, and support scientific and conservation projects, both in the Amazon Jungle and the Galapagos Islands. A percentage of our profits goes to the Charles Darwin Foundation in order to fulfill this key aspect of our company.

9. Macarena Iturralde de Green CEO Manager and travel consultant. Macarena worked for many years as a diver and naturalist guide in the Galapagos, Peru and the Amazon Rainforest. She is a biologist who loves nature. Whenever she has a chance, she loves to explore and travel around her country and South America. Her vast experience in the field allows her to design routes to any natural destination in Ecuador with a personalized touch.

10. Jonathan R. Green Wildlife Photographer and Trip Leader Naturalist, photographer, diver and expedition leader. Jonathan is of British origin and a Geologist by profession. He is a professional photographer specializing in nature and landscapes, both terrestrial and marine. His work has been published in several magazines including Time, GEO magazine and the BBC Natural History. He has published a book "Galapagos: Ocean, Earth, Wind and Fire". Jonathan may be requested as a trip leader for special expeditions.

11. Mercedes Murgueytio Operations Manager Mercedes is in charge of the sales and operations department. She has many years of experience developing tailor made trips in Ecuador. Her knowledge of Ecuador and tourism goes back 25 years, when she started working for one of the biggest tour operators in the country. Mercedes has now been with Senderos Naturales two years and is in charge of the day to day connections with new clients.
