4 Identify the ages that change occurs? Infancy (0-12mts) Toddler (1-2yrs) Pre-School (3-4yrs) Kindergarten (5-6yrs) Elementary School (6-11yrs) Junior High (12-14yrs) High school (15-18yrs)

5 Explain “Physical” Development Physical Development is using large (legs/arms) and Fine (fingers) motor skills to preform something. Using Large and small muscles to complete a task. Example: tie shoelaces at 5yrs or hitting puberty at 12yrs

6 Identify “Cognitive” Development This is a persons intellectual thoughts Using their brain/thinking ability to accomplish tasks Examples: understands before and after at 5yrs and having a longer attention span at age 8yrs.

7 Identify “Moral” Development Understanding right from wrong Recognizing feelings and having empathy for another person. Seeing things from another persons point of view

8 Identify “Social/Emotional Getting along with other people Having friendships and recognizing appropriate behavior around people Finding your identity and self-concept
