www.wateraid.org 2.5 billion people worldwide live without a toilet. Poor sanitation deprives women of privacy and exposes them to the risk of attack. www.wateraid.org Hand-washing with soap can reduce the incidence of diarrhoea by up to 47%. Water, sanitation and hygiene combined can reduce deaths from diarrhoeal diseases by an average of 65%.
