1. Welcome to Grade 2! Mrs. Waugh and Mme. Brophy

2. Our Class  Teachers: Mrs. Waugh and Mme. Brophy  Mrs. Waugh teaches Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday  Mme. Brophy teaches Thursday and Friday  We have 19 students – 10 boys and 9 girls

3.  Daily Literacy and Math blocks  Physical Education 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the gym on these days.  Music: Tuesday  You and Your World: integrated into math and literacy.  Art: Monday  Library: Thursday (please return library books on Wednesday)

4. Homework/Week at a Glance  Provides an overview of what we will be covering the upcoming week.  A way to connect with your child as to what we are doing in class.  Homework will consist of reading each night (to a family member as often as possible), practicing “words of the week” and reviewing the Math practice that is suggested in the Week at a Glance.

5. Communication  Communication Bag: travels to and from school DAILY. This is where you will find notices etc. Please use this bag to send notes, money etc. to school.  Email: We will be sending Homework/Week at a Glance via email. Other periodic updates will be sent by email as well.  School Website/Teacher Pages: Very useful tool to keep informed. 7. All About Me Bag  This bag will be sent home with a student on Wednesday of every week.  To be returned to school on Friday with an item that fits in the bag.  All About Me is an outcome in the “You and Your World” curriculum.

8. Outcomes  Outcomes updated each month.  Outcomes will be emailed and posted to our teacher page monthly.
