8 Innovation projects - Process Q1 – Call for proposals (innovation by design and by ideas) Q2 – Deadline proposals, start internal EIT – Health peer review Q3 – Submitting the EIT – Health Business Plan for next year to EIT Q4 – Approval on Business Plan by EIT Year N+1: Start execution of Business Plan Exact call dates for 2016 not known yet in November 2015

9 Innovation Projects Project period 1-3 year Budget is requested / granted every year Latest stage of development / implementation of new concepts & products (no fundamental (phd) research). Participation by Industry and Academia is obliged. Total maximum subsidy is 500 k€ per year (by idea) or 1.000 k€ per year (by design) Approval chances increase with participation by multiple CLCs and by integration Campus & Accelerator activities in the Innovation Project

11 Headstart and Proof of Concept Projects To push an innovation into the next phase: prototype, Living Lab experiment etc. Maximum of 50.000 Euro, possibly in milestone payments All year around, decision at CLC level Review within ~ week after application of 1 A4 Obliged coaching by CLC and reporting twice, once after end of project and once one year after Project contributes to EIT-Health mission and KPIs
