You shall not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of God and Evil. You will die. D.God makes woman and institutes marriage (Gen. 2:18-25). 1. Marriage originates with God, not the legislature.

God has made us for companionship—with him and others (Gen. 2:18) 4. God instituted and ordained marriage as an exclusive, heterosexual, committed relationship. (Gen. 2:24-25).
