Commitment Steering group led by Erik-jan Bijvank (Stork) and Kate Simpson (ConocoPhillips). Members; RMT, Cresent, Woodgroup PSN, Taqa, Nexen, Petrofac, Centrica, Amec FW, BP Meeting every 2 weeks to drive progress and meet July 2016 deadline All members committed to a behaviour charter to strengthen industry co-operation and continuous improvement and are prepared to champion adoption of simplification output

Simplification Behaviours Charter This industry charter, signed by members of the Step Change in Safety Simplification group and supported by the Oil & Gas UK Board and the Step Change in Safety Leadership Team, is a collective commitment to work effectively, efficiently and co-operatively. It will be applied by every company and to all activities in order to achieve transformational change for the safety of the UK’s offshore oil and gas industry and ultimately reduce risk in the workplace. To promote the behaviours that will deliver a safe and sustainable industry capable of achieving simplification and therefore best serving its stakeholders My organisation will; 1.Provide access to decision makers through a specific, fast-access point, in order to escalate issues in a timely and effective manner 2.Strengthen industry co-operation through continual improvement and support for standardised documents and approaches 3.Commit to continuous improvement through regular reviews of the delivery of this workstream 4.Have a representative at every meeting 5.Be prepared to change existing systems and champion adoption of simplification output 6.Advocate communication of this commitment throughout my organisation and stakeholder network

Workstream 1 - Tools and Processes Led by Simon Miller (WGPSN) and Andy Robb (Centrica), supported by Emily Taylor What we’ve done… Monitoring feedback from Phase 1 Pilot Met with team for making supporting DVD Ranking feedback Incorporating changes to guidance document as per feedback

The next 2 weeks… Monitor feedback and consider any recommended improvements Meet with Pilot group to look at observation card feedback

Workstream 2 - Pilot site and engagement Led by Deborah McBeath (Amec FW) + Kevin Bayne (TAQA), supported by Jamieson Amott What we’ve done… Commenced the pilot trials on Golden Eagle and Forties Pipeline. Hummingbird due to start imminently Focal points meeting weekly to share experiences and drive consistent roll out ‘Buddy’ system created with a core steering group member per site as point of contact and support Management of Change guidance now includes observation card considerations

The next 2 weeks… Monitoring pilot Phase 1 and 2 Getting Phase 3 ready for launch Buddy system site visits Supporting and encouraging the feedback process from the Pilot sites

Communications All member communication to be distributed monthly. Website updated bi-weekly and as required with new information Understanding what we need to tell people to build understanding, who we need to engage with, where we need to do it, and how and when we do it.
