4  Sugar is bad before sports because:  Sugar has no nutritional value.  Sugar gives you bad energy. At first you are really hyper, and then you wind down, and crash soon after. You can’t sustain energy with sugar.  If you have an hour game you might crash midway through, or right after, it depends on when you eat the sugar.

5  Some foods that are good are:  Fruits (All natural sugar)  Carbs (Pasta, bread, potatoes, chips, petzels. {Not too many carbs.})  Protein (Poultry, eggs, various meats)  Some fats  A good tip: Don’t eat right before the game. (If you have a game at 2:00, eat at 11:00 or 12:00.)

It might take you awhile, but it will all be worthwhile in the end. Don’t resort to sugar because it give you energy!  In other words, eat healthy, don’t make a mistake and you’ll do fine.
