7 Steps to Administer AK Science AA Before Beginning Assessments All the same steps as in DLM ELA and math, plus: – Confirm student eligibility for science – Make sure student is rostered for science – Use AK Science AA resources to prepare for the assessment – Complete AK Science AA training in Moodle

8 Eligibility Must meet eligibility criteria for participation in alternate assessment – Details are in the Science Test Administration Guide & the Participation Guidelines Students with significant cognitive disabilities in grades 4, 8, and 10 take science alternate assessment

9 Educator Portal Correct rostering – Student is listed on TA’s roster for science Code is “SCI” – Students in grades 4, 8 & 10 only

12 AK Science AA Moodle Training Content is based on previous DRA training Module delivered through DLM training site (Moodle) – Self-directed only. No facilitated version. One-item quiz to indicate completion EED expects all teachers who administer science assessments to complete the module.

14 Steps to Administer AK Science AA Download and print PDF test materials – Test Management in Educator Portal Follow instructions in the PDFs to administer to students offline Record student responses on the scoring protocol Transfer information from scoring protocol to corresponding items in KITE

15 Standard and ELOS Forms Both forms will be available in KITE – Looks like two separate tests Follow the rules for stopping standard administration and switching to ELOS In KITE, only enter the responses for the scoring protocol for standard OR ELOS – not both
