Geography Togo is a West African country
borders Burkina Faso in the north, Benin in the east and Ghana in the west the Atlantic Ocean in the south (56 km) Togo stretches 579 km north and is only 160 km wide at the broadest point Togo is only about as large as Switzerland there are living over 50 different people, who are speaking many different languages the area of Togo is km²

Climate all-season tropical moist,
Togo doesn‘t have four seasons, but it has a rainy and a dry period. From April to July and from September to November it rains a lot. In the south of the country there are dry periods from July to August and from December to April. But there are also African languages like Ewe, Kabiyé, Mina, Dagomba and different Kwa- and Gur-languages as well as the languages of the "non- Togolese" folk groups like the Akebou. School system In Togo the French school system is used because of its past and that is also the reason why French is the official language of Togo. In Togo almost everyone has got an African and a French name. There are afternoon classes, school uniforms and there is no school on Wednesday afternoon. Beaches In Togo there are beautiful beaches with fine white quartz sand and shadowy places with palms Togo's largest lake called Lake Togo is good for water sports or for a boat ride

Food national dish: fufu -> is made of yams
-> cooked to a hard mash -> can be combined with all kinds of food (vegetables, spicy sauces, etc) -> daily food basis fufu (right) with a peanut sauce French influences in meals a lot of fish and in different variations Tropical fruits: pineapples, papayas, mangoes and plantain are always fresh

Animals In Togo there are wild animals, which we know from the zoo such as lions, elephants and antelopes. But since they were hunted for a long time and they are almost extinct. That's why today most of them are living in Nature reserves.
