CMS Statements 16th April, 2011 CMS Outreach and Education CMS produces statements of key results, important events e.g. Two-particle correlation, start of the HI run, first Higgs paper from the LHC etc. Statement also includes event displays, plots if needed Summaries also attached Some statements are translated as well: Chinese, Italian, Spanish etc.

Pt 5 Visitor Facility: phase 1 Winter 2010-11: re-establish pt 5 as a self-contained visit site, including visit to Underground Service Cavern (1-5 visits per week). full scale CMS display on West internal endwall of SX5 - fenced through path for visitors. explanatory panels (LHC Civ Eng, LHC machine, CMS construction, at S1 level of USC. poster trail in UPX 56 leading to PAD (eg “back to the big bang”) UXC (experimental cavern) visits in addition whenever LHC stopped for >1 week. At end of 2012/13 run: equip SCX conference room as a temporary visitor centre. : replace by SL53 conference room when ready. Fully compatible with: “Passport Big Bang” project, due for launch in June 2012 and already presented to the CCPG and at several Mairies. Courtesy: Austin Ball
