1- How to make list of articles 1-You should usually select 7 article for the relevant theme of the week. (Themes includes mobility, Wellbeing, Community and work) 2- Make sure to identify the publisher and also the country that publisher is from) 3- make the list of 7 articles similar to this: ** What do seniors want? 2- How to Login to the admin page: 1- So now save the list you made and minimize it, or either close it if you know where you saved it. 2-Now go to http://www.activeage.org/administratorhttp://www.activeage.org/administrator 3- Enter your user name and password You should automatically be redirected to the aministrator page of the website which wil be something similar to the image below:

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page 1- Click on Article manager as it is ilustrated in the picture 1- Under article manager page, click on “select category Drop down menu and select “ActiveAge Alert” as it is Illustrated in the picture below.

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page Select the latest article from the list and double click on it. Then a page like the picture below will appear.

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page Click on the “show/hide” text. The page will turn into something like the image below. Click inside the box and then on your keyborad, select cmd+A or Apple button+A to select all the coding and then to copy it all, click on cmd+c or apple button + C.

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page On the browser you are working on, add a new tab by pressing Apple button +T or cmd+T. Then go to www.activege.org/administrator.www.activege.org/administrator Click on Article manager as it is ilustrated in the picture 1- Under article manager page, click on “select category Drop down menu and select “ActiveAge Alert” as it is Illustrated in the picture below.

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page Click on New. You will see a new page as it is illustrated here. Click on the empty box and past the copied code by pressing cmd+V or Apple button+V on your keyboard.

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page After you pasted the code clik on the access level as it is ilustrated in the picture and select Then choose a title, which should be something like : The 'community' research theme, November 2010 Just change the theme and date and copy the tile and paste it into Alias as well. Finaly click on Apply and save the changes.

Replacing the new article’s URL with the URL in template by copy and past the new URL article between “ and “. Replacing the new article’s copy eight with the copyright text in the template by changing the text between ( and ).

3- How to make ActiveAge Alert page After applying all the changes click on [show/hode] to preview the page. And if it all looks ok click on save. Make sure you change the date. Finally click on save. Done!

4- Preview the ActiveAge Alert Page Click on the Preview. It will automatically redirect you to the ActiveAge website. Login to the website. Click on ActiveAge Alert tab And then click on the latest page you made. Keep the page open as you will need to use the URL to this page when you are making the newsletter.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. Select your title, which should follow the format below: ActiveAge Alert! : Community November 2010 Change the date and theme. Click on [show/hide] text to see the coding. Don’t change anything in this box.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. In this example the green section has been copied and pasted 2 times. Which it makes it ready for 3 articles. Copied section are highlighted in red.

URL for all the articles in this section will be the same and all URL will point into the url of the ActiveAge page which we made arlier. I will explain that in next page.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. After you copied all the title and copyright across then you have to copy the ActiveAge Alert URL and paste the same url for all the sections which it is ilustrated in this image. Finally click on [Show/hide] to preview the final work.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. That’s what you should see after clicking on [show/hide] text. Now select all the article as it is ilustrated. And Copy the text.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. If you scrol down the browser you will see a section below the page we were working. That section is for those people who do not have access to HTML to view the email. Click In the box and paste what you have copied.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. Now scroll up and click on send. You are almost done. After you send it, in few minutes you wil receive a copy of email. Double check the spelling and grammar and apply any changes necessary.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. Then select the news letter and apply the grammatical changes or typos if necessary. After you send out the newsletter you will automatically get redirected to this page. Select the newsletter, and unpublish it.

5- How to make the ActiveAge Alert Newsletter. Open a new tab on your browser and then follow the steps from page 15 and 15. But this time instead of selecting “test” select member. No you have 2 tabs, one of them is “test” newsletter which you just made and the other one is a plain news letter which is mean to be send out ot the partners.

Finally copy the title, HTML coding and non html list from Test newsletter into member news letter. After you have completed the Member newsletter click on send.
