8. OpenText Migration Process (2)
The overall process of the migration is split into two steps which are run separately:
Extraction: The Extractor tool loads the document’s metadata and the folder structure into the file system
Site creation: The Extractor tool creates all required sites in Alfresco
Import: The Migration tool processes the meta data, and maps it to Alfresco properties, fetches the content from the OpenText repository and finally imports documents and metadata to Alfresco
