5. Effectiveness - The municipalities’ plans for preparedness can be very much alike, many of the questions are common. Cooperation between municipalities will be necessary in case of an emergency, therefore it´s effective to already now work together. Why cooperate within Halland?

6. Initiative by Region Halland inspired by Baltic Master project. Dialogue with the county administrative board. Meetings with municipal safety coordinators and rescue services. Agreement with safety coordinator on producing plans for preparedness. Each safety coordinator arranges meetings with concerned departments within the municipality. County administrative board agreed on making a regional plan with most valuble natural features. The political leaders agreed to an exercise with a worst case scenario. Working process:

Responsibilities within the project-work in Halland: Region Halland, project coordinator Municipalities – safety coordinators, prepares plans for prepardness County administrative board of Halland – prepare regional plan with map of the most valuable natural features, in cooperation with municipalities. Preparation for Worst case scenario exercise, Region Halland and County administrative board. Baltic Master, worst case scenario, expert advise

8. Goal: Worst case scenario exercise to test how well the plans are working. to facilitate the collaboration between the different parts. to educate the participants. to get input to the Baltic Master project about were the obstacles are for having a better preparedness.

9. Conclusions so far The municipalities needs to work with their prepadness. Cooperation between municipalities is very useful. Unclear how to solve temporary storage of oil. There is a need for advice concerning response material.
