2. When are presentations? May 2-6

3. How will I know when to present? You will draw for a day and time to present on Friday, April 29th

5. What if I need to switch a time slot or a day with someone? You will have five minutes to trade with someone else in class that is willing to trade. After that, you are stuck with the day you have. You cannot switch anytime after the Friday drawing.

6. Do I have to get dressed up to present? Yes! See page 21 for the requirements for dress. If you need dress clothes, please see your teacher, as we may be able to provide them for you.

7. If I made a costume, do I have to wear it for my presentation? Yes, you do. You have to wear it in the fashion show anyway, so you need to prove that you can wear it!

8. What do I need to turn in on the day I present? 1.Your Project 2.Your speech notes 3.Your green hours packet with reflection logs 4.Your project idea sheet 5.Pictures (at least 10)-(EC)

9. What materials must I have for my presentation? 1.Your project 2.Your speech notes 3.Your dress clothes or costume

10. What specific things must I cover when I present? See the speech outline on page 22. Pages 23-24 are the suggested pages for writing your speech.

11. How should I act as an audience for my classmates? 1.Be quiet. 2.Pay attention. 3.Be SUPPORTIVE. 4.Ask good questions.

12. How can I have a successful speech? 1. Write out your speech ahead of time. 2. Practice, practice, practice. 3. Be familiar with your subject (the project). 4. Read the speech tips in this handbook (pg. 26)

13. How long does my speech have to be? 5-8 minutes **Look at rubric on page 28

14. What if my projects breaks on the day I present, or even before that day? Fix it if possible if it breaks before presentation day. Bring any and all pieces that can’t be fixed and present anyway. Then, fix it before Day 80.

15. When can I change into my dress clothes for the presentation? You will not get any class time to change into your dress clothes. Come dressed up to school! It won’t hurt you, we promise. Only those in costume can change.

16. What if I am sick or just don’t show up on presentation day? 1.If you are sick, you MUST have your parents call and leave a message for your teacher in the main office. Your teacher will return the call. You must bring your project the next day you are back. 2.If you just don’t show, you get zeroes on all three grades. No late projects.

17. What if I am not finished with my project on the day I have to present? Bring in what you have and present it anyway. At least you won’t get a zero and you can finish it by Day 80, which will help.

18. When do I bring and take away my project? 1.You bring your project on the morning of the day you present. 2.You take your project away on the same day! We cannot store your project for you and you will need it again on Day 80.

19. How much time can I count for the time I spend on the paperwork and writing and practicing my speech? None!
