1 Instructions: 1.Get your folder from the file box. If you don’t have a folder in there, find me for one. 2.Make sure you have in your folder a student pack (little book with stickers in the middle) and an answer sheet. 3.You also need a #2 pencil. 4.You should view this as a slideshow so that any links are live. 5.Go through each slide and do what is asked of you. 6.Take your time. It should take you between 20 and 30 mins. 7.When you are finished, put your folder back in the folder box in alphabetical order.

5 AP Student Pack 1.Write your name on the upper right- hand corner of the sheet of labels in the middle of the pack.

6 2009 AP ® Preadministration Session AP Student Pack 1.Place one label on the back cover of the Student Pack. A box is provided in the top left- hand corner of the College Information Card.

7 AP Student Pack 1.The big box below the label should be left blank. If you want, you can specify a college for your scores to be sent on your answer sheet. This box is only if you want to change that choice.

8 Front Cover of the Student Pack 1.Print your legal name. 1. AP Grade Reports require consistent student information from year to year. 2. If this is your first AP Exam, enter your legal (full first) name. 3. If you have taken previous AP Exams, use the same form of your name as in previous years (should be full). 4. Don’t give your social security number.

9 Front Cover of the Student Pack 1. Enter your six-digit school code (222255). 1. Print your AP number in the boxes indicated 1.Same number as on sticker; do not place a sticker here. 2. Check the box next to each AP Exam that you plan to take this year. 12 AP ® Preadministration Session Today you fill out a registration answer sheet. You will use this registration answer sheet for your first exam (plus some exam-specific info). For subsequent exams, you will fill out only the exam- specific sections, i.e. you will not repeat the sections you fill out today. The AP Answer Sheet: (this is an already-filled out sheet; do not fill yours out based on this; follow the PPt beyond this slide)

13 Page 1 of the Answer Sheet 1.Place an AP number label in the box at the top left-hand corner of the Answer Sheet. Do not place anything in the shaded box at upper- right (this will be for exam day only).

15 Page 1 of the Answer Sheet 1.Item B: Print your legal name, last name first, and fill in the corresponding ovals.

16 Page 1 of the Answer Sheet 1.Item C: Copy the AP number from the label on your Answer Sheet, and fill in the corresponding ovals.

17 Leave Items D, E, F, G, and H BLANK! These will be completed on the day of the exam.

18 Complete Items I, J, K, M, N. Item L: OPTIONAL (I recommend not). However, please provide your social security number if it was provided on previous AP Exams. Item M is optional if you don’t know where you’re going or don’t want to send scores yet.

20 Complete Item Q: Street Address (do not fill in country code). Do not fill out Item R.

21 Complete Items S & T: Student ID # & email Address Use your WHS Student ID # for Item S

22 Complete Items U, V, W Complete Items U, V, W. Item U is optional if you don’t know where you’re going or don’t want to send scores.

23 Complete Items X, and Y Complete Items X and Y. Item X this year is two separate questions. Answer them both if you want. If you don’t know Item Y, guess or leave blank.

24 Below is a link to a GoogleForm. Please fill out all items. Some of the items are repetitive, but this information is for the school, while the other information you filled out is for College Board. Link to the GoogleForm The form will ask you to identify which AP exams you’re taking. Remember these distinctions: English = English Literature (not Language) Spanish = Spanish Language (not Literature) Government = US (not Comparative) Physics = both C exams: E & M and Mech or 1 / 2 Info (The link only works in slideshow mode. Continue with the PPt after you fill out the form.)

25 PAYMENT: $92 per exam 2 exams = $184 3 exams = $276 4 exams = $368 5 exams = $460 6 exams = $552 (and, yes, Physics C students, you pay for 2 exams) Some of you have paid; some of you have not. If you have not yet paid, you must pay asap. Pay online or bring a check made out to Wayland High School to the main office. Check http://www.whstesting.com for updates, either instructions for paying on line or instructions for paying by check.http://www.whstesting.com Either way, deadline is April 15.

26 The next two slides include a day-to-day schedule of where each exam will be administered. Please write down your exam dates and locations. Exams are arranged in chronological order. The locations of exams for students with College Board approved accommodations are also included. Just because you have extra time (or other accommodations at WHS), does not mean that they are College Board approved. See me if you’re not sure if you have College Board approved accommodations. See me if you don’t want to use your accommodations.

29 Exam Timing 1. Morning exams should report to the exam room at 7.30 so that we can begin as close to 8.00 as possible. 2. Afternoon exams should report at 11.15 so that we can begin as close to noon as possible. -If there is a morning exam, this might be pushed back to 11.45, depending on when the morning exam begins and how long it takes. 3. Breakfast will be provided for morning exams in the faculty room at 7.00. 4. Lunch will be provided for afternoon exams, likely wherever the exam is given.
