Thermal Engineering is a specialized area of Mechanical Engineering with an objective of enabling engineers to improve efficiency and effectiveness of thermal power plants including solar thermal, refrigeration systems, heat exchangers etc. The curriculum of the course constitutes all basic mechanical engineering subjects like engineering mechanics, strength of materials, machine design, thermodynamics, heat transfer etc. and specialized course like refrigeration system design, power plant, steam generators, CFD, solar thermal technology. The course curriculum is designed compatible to the existing and emerging needs of the industry in the specialized area. The program caters to its students with experienced academician, state-of-the-art laboratories and projects. The curriculum of the course constitutes all basic mechanical engineering subjects like engineering mechanics, strength of materials, machine design, thermodynamics, heat transfer etc. and specialized courses like production engineering, tool design, operations management, project management and Industrial engineering. MSNT has its origins in the Metallurgical and Mechanical Engineering. This field encompasses a wide variety of programs ranging from Aerospace to Biological materials, from Explosives to Surgical instruments, and from Metallurgy to Nanotechnology with the core knowledge of Mechanical Engineering. Role of specialization MSNT is involved in the extraction, development, processing, and testing of the materials with basic work related to mechanical engineering in Industries. A broadband technician installs, maintains and repairs telecommunication systems, including cable television, broadband Internet and telephone services. They frequently perform these services on-site at homes or businesses. Although the formal education requirements can be minimal, those with limited knowledge, training or expertise could face fierce competition.
