12  The Lancaster Award recognises the extra-curricular achievements of students and is taken alongside the degree programme.  To achieve the Award students undertake activities in these areas:  Employability/career development  Campus and community involvement  Work experience  Lancaster Excellence, for those who submit an outstanding skills bank  Start it early in your first year and complete it by June of your second year The Lancaster Award
