1. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE SWETA KUMARI Science has always been a fascination and more of a miracle to me from my childhood. The ability of stem cells to form or take any shape,size and function in any type of cells has motivated me to develop my interest in researching biotechnology field of stem cells. This property of stem cells becoming any desired cell type makes it powerful enough to regenerate and repair damaged tissues thus helping humans to live more and healthy life.

2. During schooling, I happened to learn about the stem cells and the miracles it can do like regenerating a whole organ such as liver, ear, heart etc, skin layers for extreme burns,creating blood vessels for cardiovascular disease treatment. Brain diseases such as Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases can be treated by using stem cells. My curiosity in this field led me to apply for B.tech in Biotechnology in VIT UNIVERSITY. The knowledge I gained there from library books and professors helped me in better understanding and putting my theoretical knowledge in practical applications.

3. Other than academics, VIT offered me a platform to increase my confidence level and develop my interactive skills through various clubs and chapters. I also took advanced program training and attended seminars thus interacting with students of similar interest. I would like to pursue my higher studies from your prestigious university which will provide me similar environment for learning and research. The excellent laboratory facilities and the guidance of highly knowledgeable professors can help me in my training and thus would enable me to give my contribution towards this research.
