3 3 Why Peers Leading Peers? - One of the greatest leadership challenges for our students on an off campus is leading their peers: - How do they influence their peers? - What have we done to set our student-leaders up for success? - If leadership contributes to success, how much time does the organization spend on developing leadership? - Why do we not develop the leadership of the organization?

4 4 How is this Different? - Most courses focus on individual leader development - Main focus here is on the leadership of the student team/organization - Classroom applications—can incorporate aspects into any classes

5 5 WKU Leadership Certificate - Five courses, 14/15 hours - LEAD 200/500 foundation course - Three electives: - Ethics and social responsibility - Human relations - Critical thinking and empirical analysis - Practicum

6 6 Peers Leading Peers - Overview - Modular, designed for four sessions - Ideally, approximately two hours for each level - Eight hours in total length, but can customize
