About LID Students Student Facts –8 new students admitted each fall –30 current students –79 graduates since 1999 –4 graduates have gone on to Ph.D. programs In Their Own Words – “The LID program was an amazing experience for me. It prepared me for my past and current teaching positions because of the hands-on experience and the knowledge and guidance of the professors who taught and mentored me through the program.” (Melissa Fleming) – “The most beneficial part of the LID program was the focus it gave me. Special education is such a broad field, and I really wasn't sure where I wanted to go with my undergraduate degree. Through the case studies and practicum hours of the LID program, I found my passion in working with children that have severe behavioral challenges.” (Eileen Sandles)
