1. Plasma Arc Cutter Pull the trigger down all the way After a short purge the gun will fire After the cut, the gun will purge 3 seconds to clean out any excess debris and to cool off the nozzle Use a shade 5 torch glasses for the plasma as a minimum.

2. Plasma Arc Cutter Use a guide to cut straight lines The setting on the air pressure regulator on the back of the machine, should be 65- 70 while the machine is on PURGE – the bottom switch on the front of the machine To set the air pressure while the machine is on purge, pick up and adjust the lbs you want – right to increase, left to decrease

3. Plasma Arc Cutter The middle setting on the machine is for cutting fences For regular continuous cuts, set the machine on the top setting on the switch Your amperage setting should be set to the thickness of the material you are going to cut. You can cut up to 7/8” thick metal, but you have to go slow

4. Plasma Arc Cutter Water in the machine will kill it. You should change the air filter or clean it out periodically and take out the water in the air compressor at least once a week. The machine will cut any type of metal but can cause deadly fumes for some metals Touching the metal with the tip will cause a decrease of ½ in amperage You should always use a guard to ensure you have a ¼” gap

5. Plasma Arc Cutter The plasma arc cutter torch heats up to 50,000 degrees Wear gloves and watch for sparks The electrodes and tips are expensive Don’t pinch or kink the liner! Replacing the liner is a lengthy and expensive process
