5 Group activity Scenario: You’re a newly recruited Quality Manager at a Small-to-Medium- sized Print firm Your employer has raised concerns about the team ethos towards managing Quality and Risk Produce a 5-minute presentation outlining why it’s important for all employees to engage in Quality and Risk Management protocols.

6 Learning Outcomes self-assessment LEARNING OUTCOMES On successful completion of this module, students will be able to: Current understanding Covered in section(s) 1. Recognise the range and scope of quality processes and standards. 2. Critically evaluate quality processes. 3. Recognise the nature and scope of organisational risk. 4. Assess low and high-level risk and improve risk management processes. 5. Select and apply appropriate research methods and analysis tools to improve quality and risk management processes. 6. Allocate organisational and personal responsibilities in ensuring quality and managing risk. 7. Understand and evaluate the significance of quality and risk management to stakeholders. 8. Promote professionalism and an ethical approach to quality and risk management.

7 Individual activity  Look back though notes from the past six weeks  Select which Risk Management System/ framework might be most suitable for your audit – This could be more than one at this stage  You may want to use an analysis tool, such as SWOT, to determine which tool best suits your scenario.

8 Group activity  Team up with individuals who have selected the same or a similar tool  Evaluate the pros & cons of this approach  Discuss how you might tailor the approach to best suit your audit.
