Timmins has 18 operating mines within a 300km radius and 60 active exploration companies. Goldcorp’s Hollinger Project is one of the most significant mining projects ever undertaken by Goldcorp’s Porcupine Gold Mines (PGM). A unique example of sustainable mining - underground mine in transformation to an open pit and revitalization into a sustainable green space, in the middle of Timmins downtown core. Primero’s Black Fox Gold Complex has both open pit and underground operations, feeding the 2,200 tonne-per-day mill. Black Fox Increased production by 30% in Q3 2014 B2B Session: Customized B2B meetings for registered companies, both in Timmins and Toronto The consulate will work to identify business partners in the Timmins area and Toronto for each company, expect around 3-5 individual business meetings throughout the PDAC programme, and opportunities for networking at invite only receptions. Timmins Networking Reception: Hosted by Mayor of City of Timmins and Timmins Economic Development Corporation Entire Timmins mining business community invited to meet and mingle with our delegation. Purpose: The Pre-PDAC B2b and Mine site tour has been developed to give Greenlandic and Danish companies a more intimate Canadian mining experience. This programme is for companies looking for partners in the Canadian market to either do business in Greenland or Canada within mining. The consulate will provide one-on-one service to find qualified partners in Canada for each company registered. The consulate also secured access to two open pit mines for the delegation to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of Goldcorp and Primero’s gold productions. Due to mine site space and security restrictions, capacity is limited to 12 companies with up to 2 company reps each. FCFC.
