TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT Pollution is the main cause of the destruction of our environment. It is destroying the land, water and air.
3
DANGEROUS FUMES In the world forests are at risk. By cutting down trees for wood, we destroy about 40 hectares of tropical rainforest ina minute. Others trees are also killed by acid rains, produced by fumes from vehicles and factories.
4
WATER POLLUTION Acid rains, the pesticides used by farmers and chemical waste end up in rivers, seas and oceans polluting, in this way, the most important natural resource on our planet.
5
AIR POLLUTION Heating systems, car exhaust fumes, and the burning of oil, gas or coal create too high a concentration of CO₂ (carbon dioxide) in the air. This gaps traps too much heat on the ground and the earth becomes hotter.
6
THE PRECIOUS LAYER The layer of the atmosphere which protects the earth against ultraviolet radiation has been permanently damaged by CFC gases ( chlorofluorocarbons). These were used in aerosol sprays and refrigerators until 1995.
7
THE LIST OF THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS Health problems, skin cancer, destruction of plants and animal species, global warming, uncontrolled growth of algae, ice melting and sea level rising. SAVE OUR EARTH!!!!!
